called in an institute to checkout on some of their design courses
them: where are u from?
me: maldives
them: where is that. which part of the world
me: asia, indian ocean, near india
them: sorry. we not looking for indian students
me: i am not indian. maldives is not part of india u know.
them: i know. but we want chinese students. not indian students. chinese get first priority
sheesh. nice. and this coming from a country that so promotes multiculture.

yes i call that racism . i really hate when people generalize evry south asian as Indian.
